Job summary

Graduate by Hilton Bloomington is seeking a Barista to join Poindexter Coffee, supporting daily café operations and delivering a welcoming guest experience.

Barista shifts pay $10.50/hour with pooled tips; banquet serving shifts pay $16.00/hour. Duties include greeting customers, explaining coffee options, preparing drinks, keeping equipment clean, and assisting with events when needed. Flexible hours and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Prior Barista and/or Food Service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
• Sells coffees by explaining differences in beans and preparation machines; demonstrates brewing equipment
• Prepares and serves coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes
• Maintains equipment and supplies; performs preventive maintenance
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment per standards
• Implements process improvements to quality and store appearance
• Assists Banquets & Catering as banquet server when necessary
