Graduate by Hilton Bloomington is seeking a Barista to join Poindexter Coffee, supporting daily café operations and delivering a welcoming guest experience.

Barista shifts pay $10.50/hour with pooled tips; banquet serving shifts pay $16.00/hour. Duties include greeting customers, explaining coffee options, preparing drinks, keeping equipment clean, and assisting with events when needed. Flexible hours and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Compensation:

Barista shifts: $10.50/hour + pooled tips

Banquet serving shifts (as assigned): $16.00/hour

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests andneeds
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drinkmenu
• Sells coffees and coffeeby explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipmentoperates
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffeebar
• Other duties assigned
• Assist Banquets & Catering as a banquet server when necessary.
  • Bus and set tables, including condiments as needed
  • Prepare room for events: set tablecloths, dishes, silverware as needed
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing at the completion of an event
  • Serve guests food and drinks during event as required
  • Follow directions as detailed from Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager
  • Other duties assigned

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
