Graduate by Hilton Bloomington is seeking a Barista to join Poindexter Coffee, supporting daily café operations and delivering a welcoming guest experience in Bloomington, Indiana.

The position offers hourly pay of $10.50 plus pooled tips, with banquet serving duties at $16.00/hour when assigned. This is a part-time role with potential catering support. High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior food-service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu
• Sells coffees by explaining differences in beans and preparation, and demonstrates equipment operation
• Prepares and serves coffee drinks following prescribed recipes
• Maintains equipment and prevents breakdowns; maintains supplies
• Ensures a safe, sanitary work environment and adheres to regulations
• Works to improve quality and store appearance; supports banquets/catering when needed
• Assists in events: setting tables, preparing rooms, serving guests
• Other duties as assigned

Graduate by Hilton Bloomington is seeking a Barista to join Poindexter Coffee to support daily café operations and deliver a consistent, welcoming experience for our guests.

Compensation:

Barista shifts: $10.50/hour + pooled tips

Banquet serving shifts (as assigned): $16.00/hour

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests andneeds
• Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drinkmenu
• Sells coffees and coffeeby explaining differences in coffee beans and coffee preparation machines; demonstrating how brewing equipmentoperates
• Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Improves quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes; maintaining and improving the appearance of the store and coffeebar
• Other duties assigned
• Assist Banquets & Catering as a banquet server when necessary.
  • Bus and set tables, including condiments as needed
  • Prepare room for events: set tablecloths, dishes, silverware as needed
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing at the completion of an event
  • Serve guests food and drinks during event as required
  • Follow directions as detailed from Banquet Captain or Banquet Manager
  • Other duties assigned

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/GED
