Job summary

DoubleTree by Hilton is seeking a friendly Coffee Shop Attendant (Barista) to craft specialty coffees, espresso drinks, and teas, while delivering warm, personalized service to guests and locals.

You’ll greet guests, take orders, process payments, keep the cafe clean and stocked, follow recipes and safety guidelines, and work with the team to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, café, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of espresso machines a plus.
• Friendly, positive and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work mornings, weekends and holidays.
• Flexible to work any days of the week.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and light beverages.
• Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service.
• Accurately take orders, process payments, and handle cash/POS transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including equipment and displays.
• Stock and replenish coffee, food items, and supplies.
• Follow recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Answer guest questions about menu items and make recommendations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support smooth daily operations.
• Uphold hotel service standards and brand expectations.
• Assist with opening and/or closing duties as assigned.
