Job summary

Gjelina LA is seeking a friendly Barista/Pouring Barback to join our team. You will maintain bar cleanliness, prepare beverages, stock, and assist with service, using our fresh recipes and presentation standards.

The role requires 1–2 years restaurant or coffee experience, ability to multitask, and a positive, team‑oriented attitude. Must be able to work weekends and nights in a fast‑paced environment, with emphasis on guest satisfaction and safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years restaurant or related experience (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year coffee barista experience, required.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use all relevant items of equipment.
• Understanding, knowledge, and ability to comply with safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment and stay calm under pressure.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages adhering to company recipes and presentation standards.
• Maintain bar area cleanliness and organization, including side work and stocking.
• Assist in training and development of new staff and participate in tastings.
• Rotate inventory and follow FIFO for perishables; perform monthly inventory.
