Job summary

Meriwether Godsey is hiring a Barista for Sweet Briar College in Amherst, VA. This part-time or temporary position involves making and serving specialty coffee, tea, and beverages with a friendly, attentive service approach.

You will greet customers, follow recipes, and maintain a clean workstation. The role requires prior barista/food service experience and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and a mix of daytime and nighttime shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista and food service experience required.
• POS experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
• Flexibility: the ability to switch between locations and job duties.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve specialty coffee, tea, and additional hot/cold beverages.
• Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude.
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors of the cafe and servery, emptying trash cans, cleaning grinders, etc.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Sell and serve baked goods and miscellaneous food items.
• Maintain stock of cafe inventory.

Salary Range: $14.00 To $15.00 Hourly

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Part-time or Temporary Barista'sresponsible for providing our guests with the finest drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service at Sweet Briar College, located in Amherst, VA.

• Pay range: $14-$15 per hour


• Must be available: nights, weekends, and a mix of daytime and nighttime.
