Meriwether Godsey is seeking a part-time or temporary barista to provide guests with high-quality beverage service at Sweet Briar College in Amherst, VA. The role requires smiling, attentive service and adherence to recipes while handling payments and stocking the cafe.

Ideal candidates have prior barista experience, strong customer service skills, and flexibility to cover nights, weekends, and shifts across locations.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista and food service experience required.
• POS experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Flexibility: the ability to switch between locations and job duties.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve specialty coffee, tea, and additional hot/cold beverages.
• Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude.
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, including sweeping and mopping floors of the cafe and servery, emptying trash cans, cleaning grinders, etc.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Sell and serve baked goods and miscellaneous food items.
• Maintain stock of cafe inventory.

Meriwether Godsey is looking for Part-time or Temporary Barista's responsible for providing our guests with the finest drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service at Sweet Briar College, located in Amherst, VA.

• Pay range: $14-$15 per hour
• Must be available: nights, weekends, and a mix of daytime and nighttime.

What You Will Do
