Job summary

Metz Culinary Management at Hillsborough Community College, Tampa, FL seeks Rock Star Baristas who craft hand crafted beverages and deliver exceptional service in a busy college setting.

Responsibilities include station maintenance, guest engagement, menu explanations, beverage + food preparation, sanitation, cash handling, teamwork, inventory, and cross-training across departments; daily pay is an optional benefit.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification.
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand for long periods.
• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis.
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.

• Prepare, stock, and maintain your station throughout the day.
• Greet guests and determine coffee interests and needs.
• Educate guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu.
• Prepare and serve coffee drinks, pastries, and sandwiches per recipes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment.
• Use cash register with accurate cash handling and payment processing.
• Collaborate with team, train new members, cross-train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and order list.
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Operations Manager.

Metz Culinary Management is growing, and we have openings for Rock Star Baristas that have a passion for making hand crafted hot and cold coffee & tea beverages. We are seeking energetic team players with a winning attitude that deliver exceptional customer service to all guests in a fun and busy college setting.

Requirements:

• Previous Barista experience required
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.

• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills

• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross train in other departments
• Complete weekly inventory and order list
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
