Job summary

Metz Culinary Management is seeking energetic Rock Star Baristas to craft hot and cold coffee and tea beverages for a busy college campus. You will greet guests, explain the menu, and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

You will stock and maintain your station, handle cash, and work with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations while following safety and sanitation standards. Prior barista experience and SERV Safe certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience required.
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
• SERV Safe Certification.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and maintain your station throughout the day.
• Greet guests and determine coffee interests and needs.
• Explain the coffee drink menu and answer questions.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks and pastries.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment according to standards.
• Handle cash register with accurate cash handling and payment processing.
• Work with others, train new staff, and cross-train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and order lists.
• Clean and maintain all equipment.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Operations Manager.

Metz Culinary Management is growing, and we have openings for Rock Star Baristas that have a passion for making hand crafted hot and cold coffee & tea beverages. We are seeking energetic team players with a winning attitude that deliver exceptional customer service to all guests in a fun and busy college setting.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience required
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates
• SERV Safe Certification
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time
• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills
• Background checks and drug screening required as part of the onboarding process

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross-train in other departments
• Complete weekly inventory and order list
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
