Job summary

Metz Culinary Management is seeking Rock Star Baristas who are passionate about crafting hand-made coffee and tea beverages in a fast-paced college setting.

Ideal candidates have previous barista experience, knowledge of brewing equipment, and SERV Safe certification. Expect to stock, serve, and maintain a busy station with teamwork and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience required.
• Knowledge of brewing equipment operation.
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, stock, and maintain your station throughout the day.
• Greets guests and determines their coffee interests and needs.
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks following recipes; also serve pastries and other food items.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation standards.
• Handle cash register, cash handling and payment processing accurately.
• Work with others, train new team members, and cross-train in other departments.
• Complete weekly inventory and order list.
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Operations Manager.

We are seeking energetic team players with a winning attitude that deliver exceptional customer service to all guests in a fun and busy college setting.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista experience required
• Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates
• SERV Safe Certification
• Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time
• Ability to carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
• Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills
• Background checks and drug screening required as part of the onboarding process

Responsibilities

• This position is responsible for preparing, stocking, and maintaining your station continuously throughout the day
• Greets guests determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educates guests by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu and answering questions
• Preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques along with serving pastries, sandwiches, and other food items
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations
• Use of cash register, accurate cash handling and payment processing
• Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross-train in other departments
• Complete weekly inventory and order list
• Clean and maintain all equipment continuously
• Perform any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
