Job summary

Thuma is looking for a Barista to join our flagship store and cafe in San Francisco. Reporting to the Lead Barista, you will play a pivotal role in shaping a warm atmosphere, serving exceptional coffee, and delivering top-notch customer service.

Based in San Francisco, prior barista experience is preferred. You should be passionate about coffee, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and focus on cleanliness and customer satisfaction while engaging with customers and offering recommendations.

Thuma is looking for a Barista to join our team. Reporting to the Lead Barista, this position will play a pivotal role in the seamless functioning and overall success of our flagship store and cafe in San Francisco.

As a Thuma Barista, you'll be an integral part of creating a warm, inviting atmosphere, serving exceptional coffee, and providing top‑notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages with precision and care.
  • Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
  • Engage with customers, take orders, and offer product recommendations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area and equipment.
  • Uphold Thuma's commitment to ethical business practices, sustainability and 6-star customer service.
  • Work collaboratively with the cafe and retail team to ensure smooth cafe /retail operations.
  • Stay informed about Thuma products and promotions to assist customers effectively.
What You’ll Need:
  • Based in San Francisco
  • Previous experience as a Barista in a cafe or similar setting is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Capacity to lift and move medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques.

$19.61 - $20.50 an hour
