Job summary

Friendsview Bistro is hiring a Full-Time Barista in Newberg, OR. Pay starts at $17.34+ per hour, depending on experience (DOE). This is a day shift position with Sunday–Thursday scheduling options (6:30 AM–2:30 PM or 8:30 AM–4:30 PM).

Join the Friendsview team to build customer-service, cash-handling, and food-service skills while delivering welcoming dining experiences for residents, guests, and staff. Training and supportive environment provided to help you grow in a caring community.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• Valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
• Friendly, dependable, and a team player; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Welcome residents and guests with a friendly attitude.
• Take orders and process cash and card payments.
• Prepare and serve beverages and ready-to-eat foods.
• Assist with meal reservations, tables, and dining service.
• Keep the Bistro, cashier area, and beverage station clean and stocked.
• Help the dining team deliver excellent service.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, privacy, and workplace safety standards.

What You Bring

• Age 16 or older.
• Valid Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Friendly, dependable, and willing to learn.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer/POS and math skills.
• Previous Barista experience in craft coffee a plus!
• Respect and appreciation for older adults.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-first attitude.

Additional requirements: Successful completion of required drug screening and completion of Orientation.
