The Barista is responsible for crafting high quality beverages, serving all products with friendly, individualized attention towards each customer. Provides friendly and efficient service at all times.
What do we look for?
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years of Barista Experience
- Latte Art Skills are required
- Understanding of safe food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and be able to prevent and/or handle emergency situations.
- A cheerful, positive attitude when working with a variety of people, and be able to work well under pressure.
- Responsible, neat, and clean in appearance.
- Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
What will you work on?
- Possesses a thorough knowledge and understanding of all items listed on each menu including ingredients, preparation and serving methods.
- Provides a speedy, efficient and professional level of service at all times.
- Supports the seamless running of the restaurant by providing a highly efficient and effective service, ensuring standards are maintained and customer needs are anticipated.
- Ensures that the barista section and surrounding areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Assist with all wet stock deliveries and help transfer stock from one department to another.
- Attends meetings / training sessions as required by the management team.
- Is hands-on and present in the barista section at all times during service.
- Ensure that all service ware is properly cared for, cleaned and prepared for every service.
- Maintains the highest possible standards of personal hygiene and appearance and is dressed in clean correct uniform at all times.
- Ensures the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and safety at work at all times in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1977.
- Report any complaints or comments immediately to the Restaurant Manager.
- Works as a team player at all times and is prepared to be flexible in order to ensure that operations are always as efficient and profitable as possible.
- Establishes and maintains good working relationships amongst the restaurant and the kitchen team.
- Maintains all equipment and utensils.
- Maintains high customer awareness by approaching your job with the customers always in mind.
- Is financially aware of the costs involved in the operations and is responsible for controlling costs.
- Is motivated and committed to personal development , approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seizing opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance
- Is adaptable , responding quickly and positively to changing requirements, which may mean getting involved in procedures that are not normally part of the day-to-day responsibilities.
- Maintains a high level of teamwork by showing co-operation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of department and restaurant goals. To have a positive impact, taking personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, always clearly communicating with both customers and colleagues
- Ensures that the quantity of work is sufficiently productive under the normal business levels.
- Performs other job-related duties as directed.
