Position Summary: Makes all standard/specialty coffee and tea beverages for the dining room, cocktail lounge, and bar. Interacts with guests, employees, and supervisors in a polite manner to ensure gracious hospitality.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Tao Group Hospitality Employee Handbook.
- Anticipate and accommodate guest needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the coffee station and entire venue.
- Communicate guest needs to support staff, servers, managers, and chefs.
- Deliver coffee/tea orders to tables/bar promptly and correctly.
- Clear dirty service items after delivering orders.
- Participate actively in service to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Follow supervisor instructions and support team members.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of coffee and tea menus, recipes, and execution standards.
- Know food and beverage menus, policies, and procedures.
- Comply with sanitation standards.
- Set up coffee stations, perform side-work, and handle opening/closing procedures as directed.
- Ensure perishable items are fresh; report waste to management.
- Stock supplies at coffee stations.
- Perform opening and closing side-work as prescribed.
- Report equipment or furniture damage immediately.
- Attend pre-service meetings and training sessions.
- Learn through observation and sharing knowledge, leading by example.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality and its partners.
- Work as part of a team, offering help and support to colleagues.
Training Requirements:
- Tao Group Hospitality in-venue barista training, Food Handling Certificate.
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
- Previous hospitality and barista experience.
- Experience in high-volume restaurants, nightclubs, or lounges.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Stand, lift, and bend for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motions and exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
- Work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
