Responsibilities include:

1. Using related equipment: cappuccino machines, coffee grinders, brewers, blenders, and convection ovens.
2. Opening and closing duties.
3. Cash register operation and money handling procedures.
4. Preparing hot and cold foods for retail sales.
5. Following food safety codes and standards set by federal, state, local, and accreditation agencies.
6. Monitoring and documenting food and equipment temperatures; notifying supervisors of any out-of-compliance issues.
7. Maintaining cleanliness and order in refrigeration units, work areas, and equipment.
8. Inspecting, rotating, and disposing of stock as needed.
9. Properly wrapping, labeling, and dating food items.
10. Preparing coffee, juice, smoothies, and maintaining beverage machines.
11. Ensuring a sanitary work environment, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces.
12. Following proper cleaning procedures and chemical storage guidelines.
13. Practicing safety procedures and reporting hazards.
14. Providing excellent customer service and supporting performance improvement.
15. Using recipes and ingredients to prepare foods.
16. Assisting in other areas as needed.
17. Completing barista training within 2 months of hire.

Minimum qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and write.
• Experience in restaurant or food service operations preferred.

Employment type: Part-time, Day Shift.
