Job summary

StepStone Hospitality, Inc. seeks a Barista for Sheraton Galleria in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on crafting beverages, providing outstanding service, and operating in a renovated, lively space.

You will greet guests, prepare quality drinks, and ensure health and safety standards are met. Ideal candidates have 1+ year barista experience, flexibility with shifts, strong math and computer skills, and a good understanding of hotel operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of barista experience is a plus.
• Must be available for flexible shifts.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
• High school education preferred; relevant training/experience required.
• Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
• CPR and first aid training preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests per StepStone and hotel standards; anticipate needs and assist guests with disabilities.
• Provide quality beverages and food by following recipes and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Handle closing of transactions; balance cash; secure funds.
• Perform opening/closing duties and stock supplies.
• Bus coffee cart areas and tables; set up and maintain work areas.
• Check guest satisfaction and product quality per StepStone standards.
• Notify manager of any guest complaints.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures; assist service personnel as needed.
• Maintain cash handling procedures; use POS system accurately.

If you have a passion for crafting exceptional drinks and providing outstanding service to guests, we want you to be part of our team! As a Barista you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while working in a newly renovated and lively environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet all guests according to StepStone and hotel standards, anticipate and address guests’ needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Handle closing of guest transactions in outlet and room services, close out register, and balance out cash for shift as well as keeping cash funds always secured.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas.
• Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
• Check with guests to ensure guest service and food quality are satisfactory and up to StepStone and hotel standards.
• Notify the manager immediately of any guest complaints.
• Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.
• Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Ability to accurately use POS system.
