Job summary

Sheraton Galleria, Atlanta is hiring a Barista for our newly renovated space. You will greet guests, craft beverages, and manage POS operations in a fast-paced hotel setting.

Experience is a plus; flexible shifts and knowledge of hotel operations are valued. Benefits include Daily Pay, free breakfast, and free parking at one of Atlanta's premier locations.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of barista experience is a plus.
• Must be available to flexible shifts.
• Knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
• High school education preferred; relevant training and experience.
• Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates.
• CPR and first aid training preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests according to hotel standards and StepStone guidelines.
• Provide quality beverages and food products per recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Handle closing of guest transactions, balance cash, and secure funds.
• Perform opening/closing duties and maintain work areas and equipment.
• Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
• Ensure guest service and food quality meet standards.
• Notify manager of guest complaints.
• Observe safety rules and assist other staff as needed.
• Maintain cash handling procedures and POS accuracy.

As a Barista you’ll play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our guests while working in a newly renovated and lively environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Greet all guests according to StepStone and hotel standards, anticipate and address guests’ needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Handle closing of guest transactions in outlet and room services, close out register, and balance out cash for shift as well as keeping cash funds always secured.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas.
• Bus coffee cart areas and tables.
• Set up, stock, and maintain work areas.
• Check with guests to ensure guest service and food quality are satisfactory and up to StepStone and hotel standards.
• Notify the manager immediately of any guest complaints.
• Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.
• Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
• Ability to accurately use POS system.
