Meriwether Godsey, Inc. is hiring a Full-time Barista at Sweet Briar College in Amherst, VA. The role focuses on high-quality coffee and beverage service with attentive, gracious hospitality for guests.

Responsibilities include making drinks, greeting customers, following recipes, keeping a clean workstation, processing payments, selling baked goods, and stocking inventory. Prior experience and flexibility across locations are valued.

Qualifications

• Previous Barista and Food Services experience required.
• POS experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent communication and good organizational skills.
• Flexibility: ability to switch between locations and duties.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Job description

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Full-time Barista responsible for providing our guests with the finest drink service, accompanied by attentive and gracious service at Sweet Briar College, located in Amherst, VA.

• Pay rate: $14-$15 per hour
• Must be available: Monday-Friday, 2p-9p

What You Will Do

• Make and serve specialty coffee, tea, and additional hot/cold beverages
• Greet and interact with customers while displaying a positive and friendly attitude
• Adhere to recipes and presentations for food and beverage items
• Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation, including, but not limited to, sweeping and mopping floors of the cafe and servery, emptying trash cans, cleaning grinders, etc.
• Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Sell and serve baked goods and miscellaneous food items
• Maintain stock of cafe inventory

What You Need

• Previous Barista and Food Services experience required
• POS experience preferred
