Responsibilities

• Prepare the venue for daily operations and ensure closing procedures and cleaning are completed.

Wage

• $15.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Create a positive customer experience by welcoming guests, identifying their needs, answering questions, and offering recommendations.
• Prepare and serve coffee beverages, including espresso, café lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty drinks, following established recipes and preparation techniques.
• Maintain composure during busy, high-pressure periods and effectively multitask.
• Work independently when needed while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Assist with light food preparation, including sandwiches, salads, and, in some cases, light baking.
• Prepare the venue for daily operations and ensure proper closing procedures and cleaning processes are completed.
• Determine production needs and assist with inventory management and ordering.
• Clean counters, display cases, drop stations, and dining areas while maintaining overall cleanliness throughout the day.
• Maintain inventories of supplies, pastries, cookies, and other coffee bar items.
• Keep equipment operating efficiently by following operating procedures, troubleshooting issues, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
• Support a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
• Contribute to the success of the coffee shop by taking ownership of responsibilities and seeking opportunities to add value.
• Operate a point-of-sale system and balance a cash drawer daily.
• Verify guest age requirements when selling alcohol.

Qualifications

• Barista experience or 1 year of related experience
• Strong customer service background with excellent listening and verbal communication skills
• Organized and creative
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work successfully as part of a team

Hours

• 20 hours per week

Option 1

• 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• Fridays
• Holiday rotation

Option 2

• 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend
• Mondays and Thursdays
• Holiday rotation

Option 3

• 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
• Every other weekend
• One weekday (Monday-Friday)
• Holiday rotation
