Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking an RN to develop, promote and coordinate the Bariatric Program, ensuring quality bedside care and program operations. The role emphasizes collaboration, data collection, EMR use and presentation of findings.

Strong communication and teamwork are required in a fast-paced hospital environment. Preferred candidates hold a BSN and may have Bariatric Nurse certification, with licensure in good standing and Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from an accredited RN nursing school.
• Licensure: Current RN in the state of practice.
• Experience: Knowledgeable regarding bariatric surgery, bariatric care and related needs.
• Certification/Registration: Current Basic Life Support.
• Preferred Certification: Certified Bariatric Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Development, promotion and coordination of the Bariatric Program and services.
• Perform duties within established stand of practice and Employee Code of Conduct.
• Support data entry, data bases and data registries.
