Job summary

Cooper Consolidated, LLC is seeking a supervisor to oversee stevedoring activities, directing loading and unloading of barges and vessels, while keeping safety and efficiency at the forefront.

The role requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and the ability to coordinate with vessel crews, operations, and customers. On-site position with regular long shifts and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in stevedoring or marine industry with leadership background.
• Strong safety mindset and knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Proven ability to coach staff and manage customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct staff performing barge and vessel loading/unloading.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and participate in safety program.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental regulations, and cost controls.
• Communicate with vessel officers and update terminal status to management.
• Manage inventory, equipment and labor expenses; prepare reports.
