Job summary

Friendly Confines in New York is seeking a part-time barback for weekends, with shifts into the early morning. This entry-level role is open to new hires only and requires you to be at least 21 years old and able to work until 2–3 am on weekends.

You will help fill and rotate beers, change kegs, clean glassware, restock towels, sweep and mop the dining area, and assist bartenders and servers with closing procedures. Reliable transportation and face-to-face guest interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old.
• Available to work until 2–3 am on weekends.
• New hires only; not rehiring previous barbacks.

Responsibilities

• Filling and rotating bottled and canned beers.
• Changing kegs (must be able to lift about 120 pounds).
• Cleaning bar glassware, filling ice wells, taking out bar, restaurant and restroom trash.
• Restocking restroom hand towels and supplies.
• Sweeping and mopping the restaurant dining area and bar at night.
• Assisting bartenders and servers with clearing tables and closing procedures.
