Job summary

KYU Las Vegas is seeking a Barback to support bartenders by keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized for smooth beverage service.

You will manage inventory, assist with drink preparation, and help train new bar staff while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced upscale setting.

Minimum one year in a similar role, high school diploma, and strong teamwork and communication skills are required; health and safety are priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or in a high-volume bar environment.
• Basic knowledge of bar operations and equipment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in fine dining or upscale bar settings preferred.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Motivated and self-directed with a willingness to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders with drink preparation during peak hours.
• Maintain and manage bar inventory, restocking supplies and organizing storage areas.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Handle glassware, utensils, and other bar equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good condition.
• Remove empty bottles, glasses, and trash from the bar area promptly.
• Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar for service.
• Monitor inventory levels and report needs to the Bar Manager.
• Collaborate with bartenders and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide support in training new bar staff as needed.
• Maintain a positive and proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
