Job summary

The Ranch at Rock Creek is seeking a Barback to support our bar operations at a Forbes Five-Star level. The role emphasizes assisting bartenders, restocking glassware, preparing ingredients, and maintaining a spotless, organized bar area.

Ideal candidates will have prior barback experience in luxury or high-volume settings, excellent guest service and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Weekend and holiday hours may be required in this resort environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Barback experience in luxury/high-volume environments preferred.
• Knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor a plus.
• Strong guest service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing duties including restocking the bar and ensuring Bartenders have clean, polished glassware.
• Prepare and store bar ingredients such as juices, syrups, garnish fruits, batches and infusions.
• Keep bar area clean and organized, following sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and backstock; alert management when replacements are needed.
• Be familiar with current cocktail offerings and answer guest questions as needed.
• Maintain a guest-facing appearance and interact with guests professionally.
• Bus the Bar and Saloon areas, wipe tables, and clean spills.
• Remove bags from trash receptacles in and around Bar and Saloon areas.
• Collaborate with Food & Beverage team for efficient service and guest experiences.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Bar Manager.
