Job summary

Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia, part of Live Nation, is seeking a Barback to support busy service at our new Philadelphia venue. You will assist with bar setup, stock management, garnishes, and maintaining a clean service area.

Work closely with bartenders, follow Health Code regulations, and help deliver the best guest experience in a fast-paced environment. Weekend availability and physical stamina are required; live-venue experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 30-100 pounds.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for long periods in a loud, busy venue.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of bars and service area to meet standards.

Job Summary:

Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia will be following in the footsteps of our original Brooklyn location, noted as one of the most incredible places on Earth by Rolling Stone. Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia is the ultimate night out, with its groundbreaking integration of premiere music, 24 lanes of bowling, 2 bars, featuring locally crafted beers, and food by the acclaimed Blue Ribbon restaurant group. Located in the heart of the historic Fishtown neighborhood, adjacent to The Fillmore and The Punchline in what has become a burgeoning entertainment district, the venue is slated to open Q4, 2021, and will be Brooklyn Bowl’s fourth location.

The Role:

Barback is responsible for bar service equipment/supply maintenance and set up. This position will maintain the cleanliness of the bar and service area during the shift and perform functions under supervision as business requires.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of all bars and appearance of work area to meet departmental standards


• Maintain bar and service ware during shift


• Provide assistance with all bartending services required for fulfilling customer requests


• Obtain bar stock, ice and service items from storage areas


• Replace beer kegs, soda tanks, CO2 tanks, wine-on-tap containers as required


• Clean the bar area continuously during the shift


• Remove used service items from the bar area as required


• Assist Bartender with bar set-up and break-down as required


• Cut (prepare) fruits and vegetables for cocktail garnishes


• Clean, stock and replenish all items located at the bar and in the beverage storage areas


• Possess an in- depth knowledge of beer, wine, spirits and cocktails


• Communicate any problem or guest concern to management in a timely manner


• Side work as needed. Follow all Health Code regulations


• Work together as part of a team to provide the best overall guest experience

Qualifications:

• Will be lifting 30-100 pounds


• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays


• Ability to work later hours


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills


• Ability to work closely and efficiently with others


• Performing reaching and stooping motions repeatedly


• Move throughout the bar and venue areas during the entire shift


• Work in an environment with loud music, smoke and crowds for extended periods of time


• Stand or in a stationary position for entire shift


• Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

Preferred:

• Experience in a live music environment


• Experience working in a high-volume restaurant, bar or entertainment venue preferred

RAMP certification

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful

Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
