Job summary

Flight Club in Seattle, WA is seeking a Barback to support our bartenders and deliver a high-energy guest experience in an upscale darts environment.

You will restock, prep garnishes, maintain a clean, well-organized bar, and help ensure fast, accurate service across shifts while learning our signature cocktails.

A fast-paced, high-volume setting with required food handlers and Alcohol certifications, plus a team-first attitude, is essential.

Qualifications

  • Current food handlers and alcohol certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Listen to and assist guests, building rapport behind the bar.
  • Support bartenders by restocking, garnishes, and maintaining workflow.

The role ensures the bar has all required product to execute orders and cocktails properly with a clean bar top to allow new guests. This position is constantly moving, multitasking, and anticipating bartenders needs. Our emphasis on product knowledge is essential to deliver an experience above the ordinary. Nothing feels better than winning as a team.Responsibilities:Listen to the CustomerBuild a rapport with guests, be active in assisting, and communicating requestsAssist in maintaining the guest eye view behind the barSupport the bar team by ensuring quick and efficient service, utilizing a strong knowledge of in-house cocktails and menu offerings to assist with restocking, preparing garnishes, and maintaining a smooth workflow to meet guest needs.Communicate effectively with team members and guests to ensure seamless service and satisfaction.Be Respectful of Company ResourcesManage stock effectively, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage to maintain inventory levels and reduce wastage.Adhere to cleaning and delivery procedures to protect company resources and ensure a safe, organized workspace.Show UrgencyReport for all scheduled shifts punctually, in proper attire and to proper health and hygiene standardsEfficiently change kegs, cut fruit, and restock depleted product quicklyComplete opening, closing, and running duties as assigned each shiftCreate Positive EnergyFoster a collaborative and supportive work environment by training new barbacks and encouraging teamwork.Maintain a positive attitude during service, contributing to an enjoyable and professional atmosphere for both guests and staff.Must be able to pass exams with a 90% or better in each of the following categories:Food and BeverageAll issued training testing throughout employmentRequirements & Minimum QualificationsCurrent food handlers and alcohol certification maintained through employmentMinimum of 2 years’ experience preferably within a high-volume environmentAvailable to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidaysAble to stand and/ or walk for long periods of timeAbility to lift over 50+ lbs. if necessaryAuthorized to legally work in the USBarback Compensation & Benefits:Hourly pay of $21.30 plus tipsAbility to enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits (for employees who maintain full-time status)Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Paid Holiday (may vary depending on state and local laws)Ability to enroll in 401k, Medical FSA, Commuter benefits, etc.Employee Discount: 50% your total bill for you and up to five guests.The Company reserves the right in its absolute discretion to add to your duties or amend this job description at any time.
