Job summary

Flight Club Chicago is seeking an Ambassador to deliver a high-quality guest experience in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere. You will greet guests, seat them quickly, assist with setup, and support tournament play and reservations while mastering our product knowledge.

This part-time role requires friendly, proactive service, reliability for varied shifts including evenings and weekends, and the ability to lift light to moderate loads.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience preferred in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and respond to all guests with a friendly greeting and goodbye, guide and educate guests on our brand upon entry and as you usher them to their location, host and assist in facilitating tournament play, build rapport with guests, and communicate requests.
  • Ensure bathroom checks and coat check are organized, maintain gaming equipment sanitation and functionality, troubleshoot venue tech issues, perform routine maintenance on gaming components, and restock supplies with GM approval.
  • Report for shifts punctually in proper attire, enter guest information into the system, relay availability to sales, know table numbers, and complete opening/closing duties while following health and safety guidelines.
  • Visit local businesses to provide swag, educate them about Flight Club, and participate in training sessions and team meetings.

Position Purpose

The ambassador position delivers each guest a unique high-quality experience with their engaging personality in an energetic atmosphere. This team is responsible for a welcoming greet, quick seat, and any assistance in set up. The role is crucial to day‑to‑day operations from the first impression of a warm welcome to the last, answering phones, checking in on events, adding new groups into the reservation software, and introducing gaming. Emphasis on product knowledge is essential to deliver an experience above the ordinary. Together, team members create an atmosphere of fun in a positive culture of teamwork and hard work.

Responsibilities
  • Listen to the Customer: Greet and respond to all guests with a genuine friendly greeting and goodbye, guide and educate our guests on our brand upon entry and as you usher them to their location, host and assist in facilitating any tournament play, build rapport with guests, be active in assisting, and communicate requests.
  • Be Respectful of Company Resources: Ensure bathroom checks are completed and coat check is organized, maintain quality conditions of gaming equipment including sanitation and ensure all required materials and game technology are fully functional daily, troubleshoot any technical issues in venue including providing updates on technology and new software rollouts, perform routine maintenance on all physical components of the gaming area (including but not limited to replacing dartboards, corks, TVs, cameras, light bulbs, and keeping the woodwork to Company standards), and ensure all supplies and equipment are properly stocked, organized, and ordered as needed with approval from the General Manager.
  • Show Urgency: Report for all scheduled shifts punctually in proper attire and health and hygiene standards, accurately enter all guest information into the system and assign proper time to guests, answer phones providing accurate availability and send proper information to the sales team, accurately know all numbers to tables and gaming areas, complete opening, closing, and running duties as assigned each shift, and follow all health and safety guidelines, maintaining proper procedures and reporting hazardous situations or incidents to management.
  • Create Positive Energy: Visit local businesses as assigned, to provide them with swag, treats, etc., and educate them on Flight Club and invite them in, learn and maintain knowledge of food, beverage, gaming, and Company procedures to standard, attend training sessions and team meetings as required per department, and comply with the Company’s rules and procedures along with any reasonable requests as assigned by management during a shift.
Education & Certifications
  • Must pass exams with a 90% or better in each of the following categories: Food and Beverage; All issued training testing throughout employment.
Requirements & Minimum Qualifications
  • Current food handlers and alcohol certification maintained through employment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preferably within a high-volume environment.
  • Available to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift over 50+ lbs. if necessary.
  • Authorized to legally work in the US.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay rate of $18–20 per hour, based on experience.
  • Ability to enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits (for employees who maintain full‑time status).
  • Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Paid Holiday (may vary depending on state and local laws).
  • Ability to enroll in 401k, Medical FSA, Commuter benefits, etc.
  • Employee Discount: 50% your total bill for you and up to five guests.
