Job summary

Flight Club in Chicago is hiring as an Ambassador to deliver a high-energy, guest-focused experience in our social darts venue. You will greet guests, guide them to seating, and educate them about our brand as you usher them to the correct location and assist with tournament play.

You will build rapport with guests, manage reservations, answer phones, and support daily operations while maintaining cleanliness and equipment standards across the venue.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience preferably within a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and respond to guests with a friendly greeting and goodbye.
  • Educate guests on the Flight Club brand.
  • Host and assist in facilitating tournaments.
  • Maintain quality conditions of gaming equipment and sanitation.
  • Enter guest information into the reservation system.
  • Answer phones and relay information to the sales team.
  • Perform opening, closing, and running duties as assigned.

This team is responsible for a welcoming greet, quick seat, and any assistance in setup. This position is crucial to the day-to-day operations from the first impression of a warm welcome, last impression of a welcome back, answering phones, checking in on events, adding new groups into the reservation software, and introducing gaming. Nothing feels better than winning as a team.Responsibilities:Listen to the CustomerGreet and responds to all guests with a genuine friendly greeting and goodbyeGuide and educate our guests on our brand upon entry and as you usher them to their locationHost and assist in facilitating any tournament playBuild a rapport with guests, be active in assisting, and communicating requestsBe Respectful of Company ResourcesEnsure bathroom checks are completed, and coat check is organizedMaintain quality conditions of gaming equipment including sanitation and ensure all required materials and game technology are fully functional dailyTroubleshoot any technical issues in venue including providing updates on technology and new software rolloutsPerform routine maintenance on all physical components of the gaming area including but not limited to replacing dartboards, corks, TVs, cameras, light bulbs, and keeping the area woodwork to Company standards throughout the venueEnsure all supplies and equipment are properly stocked, organized, and ordered as needed with approval from the General ManagerShow UrgencyReport for all scheduled shifts punctually in proper attire to proper health and hygiene standardsAccurately enter all guest information into the system and assign proper time to guestsAnswer phones providing accurate availability and send proper information to the sales teamAccurately know all numbers to tables and gaming areasComplete opening, closing, and running duties as assigned each shiftFollow all health and safety guidelines maintaining proper procedures and reporting to management any hazardous situation or incidentCreate Positive EnergyVisit local businesses as assigned, to provide them with swag, treats, etc., and educate them on Flight Club and invite them inLearn and maintain knowledge of food, beverage, gaming, and Company procedures to standardAttend training sessions and team meetings as required per departmentComply with the Company’s rules and procedures along with any reasonable requests as assigned by management during a shiftMust be able to pass exams with a 90% or better in each of the following categories:Food and BeverageAll issued training testing throughout employmentRequirements & Minimum QualificationsCurrent food handlers and alcohol certification maintained through employmentMinimum of 2 years’ experience preferably within a high-volume environmentAvailable to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidaysAble to stand and/ or walk for long periods of timeAbility to lift over 50+ lbs. if necessaryAuthorized to legally work in the USAmbassador Compensation & Benefits:Pay rate of $18-20 per hour, based on experience.Ability to enroll in Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits (for employees who maintain full-time status)Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Paid Holiday (may vary depending on state and local laws)Ability to enroll in 401k, Medical FSA, Commuter benefits, etc.Employee Discount: 50% your total bill for you and up to five guests.The Company reserves the right in its absolute discretion to add to your duties or amend this job description at any time.
