Location: Dudley’s – Lower East Side, NYC

Compensation: $16.50/hour (before tip credit) + tips

Join the team at Dudley’s, a vibrant all-day café and restaurant on the Lower East Side, known for its Australian hospitality, elevated casual dining, and energetic bar scene. We’re seeking hardworking, organized, and team-oriented Barbacks to support our bartenders and ensure smooth bar operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Job Summary

As a Barback at Dudley’s, you’ll be essential to the success of the bar. You’ll stock and restock supplies, maintain a clean and organized environment, and assist bartenders in delivering top-tier guest service—all while embodying a commitment to hospitality and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Support

• Stock and replenish all bar inventory, glassware, garnishes, and tools
• Support bartenders to ensure quick and high-quality service
• Assist with food and drink delivery to guests as needed
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free bar and surrounding areas
• Follow proper beverage requisition procedures
  
  

Setup and Closing Duties

• Prepare bar stations with necessary equipment and supplies before service
• Execute opening and closing side work as directed
• Wipe down bar tops, stools, tables, and lounge areas for cleanliness and presentation
• Handle trash disposal, including proper breakdown of boxes and recycling
  
  

Organization and Maintenance

• Keep liquor displays, refrigeration, and storage areas organized and clean
• Report any broken equipment, damaged furniture, or bar supply needs to management
  
  

Team Collaboration

• Work as part of a unified front-of-house team, assisting servers and bartenders
• Communicate effectively with chefs, managers, and support staff
• Attend pre-service meetings, training sessions, and team development programs
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous barback experience in a high-volume restaurant, bar, or lounge preferred
• Completion of company barback training and valid Food Handler Certification
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for long periods
• Comfortable working around cleaning products and hot kitchen elements
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and team-first attitude
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
