Job summary

The h.wood Group is recruiting a Barback for Lady Delilah in New York. Opening this Fall, the role supports bartenders, ensures bar stock and cleanliness, and delivers an elegant guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

Successful candidates will hold a NY Certified Food Handlers card, be at least 21, and be authorized to work in the United States. Prior experience in a high-end restaurant is preferred, with strong energy and teamwork skills to thrive in a luxury hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks.
• Ensure that all supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down counters and tables, cleaning glassware and utensils.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar area.
• Provide excellent customer service to guests.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Opening this Fall, Lady Delilah is looking for talented Barbacks to provide personalized and immaculate guest service and an elegant dining experience by anticipating and providing for all guest needs/requests. They will be responsible for making sure the bar is fully stocked, cutting garnishes, and clearing away and washing all glassware. We ask for a willingness to receive and offer direction, be solutions oriented, and encourage a hospitality driven environment. Open availability is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks.
• Ensure that all supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down counters and tables, cleaning glassware and utensils.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A Valid NY Certified Food Handlers card
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Previous relevant experience in a high-end, high-volume restaurant is preferred.
• Must be able to stand during entire shift, often up to 8 hours with frequent bending, squatting, and lifting plates, boxes, and objects up to 30lbs.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and trustworthy.
• Must have high energy, great communication skills, and be able to work as part of a team.
• Must have attention to detail and willingness to deliver exceptional customer service.
