Sonesta Hotels International Corporation in New Orleans is seeking a Barback (Finance) to support beverage outlets by delivering ice, glassware and supplies, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring outlets are stocked for service.

The role requires teamwork, reliable guest service, and compliance with safety standards; candidates must have a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor Server's Permit and be able to lift up to 100 pounds.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or beverage service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Must hold a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor Server's Permit.

Responsibilities

• Clean all outlets and maintain sanitation throughout shifts.
• Deliver ice, stock glasses and service outlets during the shift.
• Ensure outlets have items and materials needed to operate.
• Wash glasses in the glass room using the washing machine.
• Provide friendly and engaging service to guests and anticipate needs.
• Build solid relationships with colleagues and treat them with respect.

The Barback is responsible for providing set-up materials such as ice, glasses, coffee, etc., to all food and beverage outlets.

Key Job Functions

• Responsible for cleaning of all outlets
• Deliver ice, stocks glasses and service outlets during the shift as needed.
• Ensures outlets have items and materials needed to operate efficiently.
• Washes glasses in the glass room by operation of washing machine.
• Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests
• You will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations
• Build solid relationship with your Colleagues
• Treat colleagues with respect and dignity
• Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

• Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.

• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
