Job summary

Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar is seeking a Barback in Las Vegas to stock and restock bar supplies, assist bartenders, and keep the bar area organized. You will support a dynamic beverage program and help deliver guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include setting up bars, maintaining cleanliness, staying aware of par levels, and assisting with bussing and back-of-house storage. A flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous barback/hospitality experience.
• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant/lounge.
• Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.
• Role may include tasks requiring repetitive motion.
• Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
• Able to work a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Carver Road Hospitality debuts Flanker Kitchen + Sports Bar at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino on June 10, 2023. Steps from the walkway to Allegiant Stadium, the 8,445-square-foot destination is a dynamic fan, dining, and drinking experience. The menu of enhanced American classics features scratch burgers, sliders, shareable tacos, and a healthy selection of salads and bowls. A full beverage program includes signature cocktails and a vast selection of draft and bottled beer. Flanker is perfect for group dining and events with its highly customizable environments including a main dining room, bar and lounge, three private dining suites accommodating 20, 40, or 60 guests, a private 20-seat karaoke room, and a 24-seat dining patio.

Position Summary

The barback is responsible for stocking/restocking all bar supplies while maintaining an organized bar area. The barback may assist bartender with other duties as needed to ensure exceptional guest service. Interacts with guests, employees, and supervisors in a polite, respectful and courteous manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Employee Handbook.
• Anticipate and accommodate needs of the guests while providing professional and exceptional service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Maintain general cleanliness of bar, bar area and the entire venue.
• Possesses general knowledge of all food and beverage menus, and company policies & procedures.
• Protects establishment, guests and employees by adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards.
• Properly sets-up the bar stations, performs side-work and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.
• Assists the bartenders to ensure a high level of quality and prompt guest service.
• Assists with bussing any dishes from the bar top.
• Responsible for emptying the trash from behind the bar.
• Responsible for keeping clean and organized to company standard all back of house storage and refrigeration.
• Responsible for keeping all liquor displays and shelving organized and maintaining par levels.
• Responsible for reporting all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.
• Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings.
• Updates knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
• Portrays a positive and professional attitude.
• Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all employees.
