Job summary

Emerald Queen Casino is seeking a Barback to assist bartenders, handle guest service on the casino floor, and help stock the bar. You will keep the bar area clean and support the beverage team during shifts. A strong work ethic and team attitude are essential.

Starting pay is $16.77/hr with tips, rising to $17.31/hr after 90 days, plus employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits. A Class III A license and pre-employment screening are required.

• Stock beer, wine, liquor, mixers, ice and dry goods; keep bar area clean.

Job description

The Barback is responsible for assisting the bartender while performing barback duties. Duties include providing superior guest service while interacting with guests on the casino floor, provides relief assistance to bar staff when needed, stocks beer, wine, liquor, mixers, ice and dry goods and assists with keeping the bar area clean and presentable at all times. Performs additional job duties as assigned by the department manager.

FREE Gaming License ($155-$200)!

Starts at $16.77/hr + tips and increases to the standard rate of $17.31/hr + tips at successful completion of 90-day orientation period. This full-time position features excellent employer-paid medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required

Experience & Requirements:

• Must have one year of food and beverage experience
• Must have the ability to work well with guests and co-workers
• Must have good communication skills
• Additional education or related experience may substitute for the minimum requirements of this position

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50pounds
• Must have the mobility to climb stairs on a routine basis
• Must be able to tolerate a smoke filled environment

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to work all scheduled shifts to include day, swing, graveyard and holidays
