Job summary

Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown is seeking a part-time Beverage and Lounge Server to greet guests, take drink orders, mix and garnish drinks, and serve as lounge cashier.

You will maintain bar stock, stock supplies, handle cash, and input orders into the POS system to generate checks for guests. The role requires adherence to safety and health standards and a neat, professional appearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count bank, and understand portion sizes.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs., stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner and take drink orders.
• Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Maintain daily bar setup and stock beer, wine, spirits, and supplies.
• Receive cash, balance money, and process charges and vouchers.
• Input orders into the POS and generate guest checks and room-service tickets.
• Follow safety, health, and security procedures and wear appropriate uniform.
