Job summary

Marriott Jacksonville Downtown is seeking friendly servers to provide guests with exceptional service, greet guests, take orders, and ensure accuracy at the POS. You will help maintain a clean station, upsell desserts, and support the dining room team in a fast-paced environment.

You will work with HEI Hotels and Resorts standards, assist with beverage service, manage guest interactions, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience in downtown Jacksonville.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Be a team player and willing to help coworkers.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
• Memorize menu items and suggestively upsell desserts or specialty coffees.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials and promotions.
• Record details of the order, repeat back for accuracy, and input into POS.
• Retrieve and deliver orders from kitchen to guests with condiments.
• Abide by alcohol service regulations and policies.
• Present checks promptly and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal.
