Job summary

The Umstead Hotel and Spa is seeking a Bar & Lounge server to deliver top-tier service in Cary, NC. You will join a team of Food & Beverage professionals, assisting across Bar & Lounge, Herons, and in-room dining to provide guests with memorable experiences.

Prior serving or restaurant experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask are essential. A flexible schedule and a hospitable attitude are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests and relay them to the kitchen and bar using the ordering system.
• Deliver hot and cold dishes promptly from the kitchen to guests.
• Assist in clearing and resetting tables and transporting food.
• Stock and perform sidework to keep the dining area clean and organized.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth dining experiences for guests.
• Flexibly assist in other Bar & Lounge areas, Herons, In Room Dining, Banquets and other hotel departments as needed.

As a Bar & Lounge server, you are part of a larger team of Food & Beverage professionals, who hold the responsibility of providing our guests with a memorable experience. At times you will be asked to perform tasks in other areas of the Bar & Lounge, Herons, In Room Dining, Banquets and even the non F&B departments of the hotel.
