Job summary

Goodfellas-Pizzeria is seeking a committed, proactive Bar Manager to lead a fast-paced bar operation. You will promote growth, hire and train staff, manage inventories, set business objectives, and ensure top-notch drinks, food, and service while maintaining licenses and vendor contracts.

You will work with diverse personalities, diffuse tense situations, and plan events to increase profits and customer satisfaction in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is a baseline requirement.
• Restaurant or management experience or more education is preferred.
• Strong understanding of business management and accounting principles.
• Excellent computer, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts.
• Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to delegate responsibilities and maximize resources.
• Decisiveness in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to walk, stand, and occasionally lift heavy items in a busy setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bar operations including license upkeep, supplier contracts, inventory, budgeting, and goal setting.
• Hire and train staff to deliver excellent service.
• Create schedules and manage peak-hour staffing and conflicts.
• Maintain quality and safety controls and ensure compliance with licenses.
• Plan and participate in promotional events and activities.
• Foster a safe, fun atmosphere for patrons and staff.
