Job summary

Ray's on the River, situated in Atlanta, seeks an experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar operations, develop the team, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. This leadership role collaborates with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Director of Beverage to oversee inventory, staff development, beverage quality, and overall bar performance.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the United States with proper documentation.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a dynamic restaurant schedule.
• Capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.
• Previous bartending and leadership experience required.
• Solid knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktail preparation.

Responsibilities

• Manage liquor, beer, wine, and bar supply orders following approved guides and deals.
• Maintain inventory levels, conduct inventories, monitor pour costs and waste.
• Review invoices and pricing; resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Coordinate seasonal menu changes and new product orders; maintain vendor relationships.
• Ensure adequate glassware, bar supplies, and event inventory.
• Lead, coach, train, and evaluate bartenders to Ray's service standards.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, retraining, and performance management.
• Meet bi-weekly with the Director of Beverage to review bar performance.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and quarterly deep-cleaning schedules.
