Job summary

Palms in Las Vegas is seeking a Bar Apprentice/Porter to stock glassware, condiments, beer and supplies across beverage outlets while delivering excellent guest service aligned with the company brand standards.

The role requires maintaining inventory, supporting bar setups and breakdowns, and ensuring proper handling of deliveries and paperwork. 21+ with casino/resort experience is preferred and certain health and licensing cards must be obtained.

Qualifications

• Must have great people skills, a clean and well-groomed appearance, and to be respectful of everyone.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a similar resort setting preferred.
• Must obtain a TAM/Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Must obtain a SNHD Health Card.
• Must obtain a Nevada Gaming License.
• Minimum age requirement is 21.

Responsibilities

• Stock and serve assigned beverage outlets, maintain inventory levels including glassware, condiments, packaged beverages and paper products.
• Maintain cleanliness of beverage areas and bar equipment, sanitation and work area; clean refrigerators, countertops and floors.
• Complete required paperwork including bar transfers and dry stock deliveries.
• Maintain pars of liquor, beer, and supplies in cooler and dry storage; order as needed.
• Set up and breakdown of portable bars in designated areas.
• Ensure use of correct freight elevators and delivery routes to hotel areas and beverage outlets.
• Organize and maintain beverage pump room areas and identify non-stock items and alert management as necessary.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; refer matters to management as needed.
