Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Seasonal Bartender to join our team, delivering exceptional wine, spirits, and mixed drinks with knowledge of preparation methods. The role runs roughly October through December 2026 and requires a friendly, guest-focused approach.

Two years of bartending experience, ability to handle cash/credit transactions, and a flexible schedule are essential. TIPS and ServSafe certifications are required for this position.

Qualifications

• Two years of bartending or related work experience.
• Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety of drinks.
• Ability to process cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends & holidays.
• TIPS and ServSafe certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve wines, spirits, and mixed drinks per menu and Four Seasons standards.
• Confirm guest orders with lounge server via POS; verify against original order.
• Take orders at the pool bar and describe items' origin, taste, and prep.
• Anticipate guest needs, check satisfaction, and address concerns.
• Close guest checks, handle cash/credit card payments, settle voids.
• Serve food items in the bar area.
• Assist with bar inventory.
• Cut fruit and prepare beverage garnishments.
• Adhere to Four Seasons’ Work Rules and Standards of Conduct.
• Work harmoniously with coworkers and supervisors.

About the role

Basic Purpose: The Bartender serves guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of wine, spirits, and mixed drinks as well as information regarding preparation methods.

Approximate Service Dates: October - December 2026

What you will do

• Prepare and serve a selection of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing, and blending according to established recipes and established Four Seasons Standards.
• Confirm guest orders including any special needs or requests from the lounge server using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order.
• Service and take orders from guests seated at the pool bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of the each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beets, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks.
• Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
• Serve food items in the bar area.
• Assist with bar inventory.
• Cut fruit and prepare beverage garnishments.
• Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
• Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.

What you bring

• High school education or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years bartending or related work
• Ability to pour, mix, and blend a wide variety, of wines, spirits, and missed drinks
• Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends & holidays
• TIPS & ServSafe certified
