Shorty’s North Shore in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead our bar team in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, driving guest experiences, beverage quality, and costs. You’ll recruit and train bartenders, manage inventory, monitor waste and labor, and collaborate with culinary and management teams to deliver seamless service during game days, concerts, and events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant, bar, or hospitality leadership.
• Hands-on leader who loves being behind the bar.
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
• Experience training and developing bartenders.
• Focus on beverage cost, inventory, pars, waste, and labor.
• Ability to drive sales while maintaining cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar team and cultivate a positive, energetic culture.
• Recruit, train, and develop bartenders and barbacks.
• Run high-volume shifts from opening to close.
• Be visible and engaged—lead from the bar and the floor.
• Maintain beverage quality, consistency, presentation, and speed of service.
• Manage beer, wine, liquor, mixers, and bar supplies.
