Legacy Hospitality Partners is seeking an Assistant General Manager for Shorty’s North Shore in Pittsburgh. You will lead daily restaurant operations, coach a diverse team, and cultivate a high-energy, guest‑first culture while tightening costs and executing events.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in restaurant or hospitality management, a hands-on leadership style, and a proven ability to plan schedules, manage labor and inventory, and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in restaurant, bar, hospitality, or management
• Hands-on leadership on the floor
• Experience in high-volume environments
• Ability to lead, coach, and retain staff
• Knowledge of labor management, scheduling, and cost controls
• Strong FOH/BOH operations understanding
• Knowledge of beverage and food operations
• Analytical mindset for business decisions
• Strong guest-recovery and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Positive attitude and energy
• Passion for hospitality and guest experiences
• Flexibility for nights, weekends, game days, events

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of daily restaurant operations with the GM
• Coach, train, develop, and retain the team
• Foster a positive, energetic workplace culture
• Manage shifts from opening to closing
• Be visible and engaged on the floor
• Ensure outstanding hospitality and guest experiences
• Support and develop staff across FOH/BOH
• Maintain service, food and beverage quality, cleanliness
• Manage labor based on sales and events
• Assist with scheduling and staffing
• Monitor costs, profitability, and inventory
• Ensure cash-handling and POS procedures
• Assist with recruiting and onboarding
• Uphold safety and responsible alcohol-service standards
