Job summary

Locallygrownak is seeking a Bartender Manager at Spenard Roadhouse in Anchorage to lead the bar team and ensure outstanding guest experiences. You will manage inventory, budgets, and staff performance while collaborating on new drinks and ongoing wine/beer selections.

The role requires a 21+, English fluency, and the ability to work late shifts in a fast-paced setting. This is a full-time position with tips in addition to hourly wages.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must communicate, write, and understand English.
• Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card.
• Must have strong cash handling skills and the ability to operate a POS system.
• Must have a current TIPS/TAP card and a current Municipality of Anchorage food worker card.
• Must have basic knowledge of Google Drive and internet navigation.
• Must be available for late nights, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage bar inventory, ordering, invoices, and budgets.
• Communicate with management and maintain accurate staff records.
• Oversee opening/closing duties, bar organization, and policy compliance.
• Lead bartender hiring, scheduling, training, performance reviews, and discipline.
• Track labor costs and minimize overtime.
• Maintain glassware inventory, bar schematics, recipes, and void/comp records.
• Collaborate with staff to create new drinks, specials, and update wine and beer selections.
• Ensure schedules are completed on time while accommodating time-off requests when possible.
• Share knowledge of wines, beers, and spirits with guests and staff.
