Job summary

SALT in Rockford, Illinois is seeking a hands-on Bar Manager to lead the bar operations, manage a 44-seat lounge, and develop the beverage program. You will supervise about 10 bartenders, participate in service, and partner with kitchen leadership to align cocktails, wine, and food pairings with the menu.

The role requires strong hospitality leadership, a passion for craft cocktails and wine, and the ability to translate ideas into training, consistent service, and profitable execution.

Qualifications

• Bar or beverage leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of craft cocktails and wine pairing.
• Ability to train staff and coach on recipes and service quality.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily bar operations and ensure service readiness.
• Serve guests alongside the team and model standards.
• Develop and refine cocktail and wine offerings to elevate guest experience.
