POSITION SUMMARY: Assists owners in handling all aspects of the beer garden operation to maintain and develop a high level of guest experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties will be assigned as needed.) Must be willing and able to do the following:
- Ensure that every guest receives the Dacha Experience. Their Gemütlichkeit is your highest priority.
- Complete knowledge of all products and specifications.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and visions for their department.
- Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution, and measurement of guest service standards.
- Assist owners with the sale, organization, and execution of private events.
- Hire, train, develop, and discipline hourly front-of-the-house staff according to company guidelines.
- Research, develop, evaluate, and implement new products, services, technology, and processes to ensure a competitive position in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality environment.
- Establish positive guest relations with all patrons of the restaurant. Maintain rapport with guests; comply with all requests and meet guest expectations to build a positive reputation and encourage return business.
- Lead the hourly team to ensure a positive and happy environment while ensuring top performance.
- Perform other restaurant side duties as requested by management and leadership team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Undergraduate degree or ten years of equivalent professional experience.
- Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
- Effective business writing skills.
- Impeccable personal presentation and sense of decorum.
Preferred:
- Four years or more of progressive restaurant management experience (desired but not required).
- Beer, spirits, and wine certification(s).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Broad understanding of Food and Beverage division, budgeting, profit and loss statements, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and operation expenses.
- Ability to access all areas of the facility and travel off property when needed.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team and/or its individual members.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Effective English-language written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to identify and assess problems and situations, refer to applicable policies and guidelines, and develop appropriate courses of action.
- Ability to communicate complex, technical, and sensitive information effectively and confidentially, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 50 pounds for distances of up to 50 feet, including manipulation from heights possibly requiring a foot-stool.
- Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all business contacts.
