Buddy’s Detroit location is seeking a Bar & Events Lead to oversee bar operations and guide a dynamic events team, ensuring a superior guest experience. You will collaborate with management and vendors to plan and execute diverse events while upholding service standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of beverage service, team leadership, and health & safety compliance, with a focus on driving profitability and repeat business in a high-volume venue.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in bar management or event coordination in hospitality.
• Able to work peak bar hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced service setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise bar staff and event teams to deliver outstanding service during all shifts and events.
• Drive In-store Event Planning.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute events from setup to breakdown, meeting client requirements.
• Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations for bar operations and events.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote events and offers.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance.
• Monitor budgeting, cost control, and reporting to senior management.
