Job summary

Detroit Foundation Hotel in Detroit, MI is seeking a motivated Barback to support the bar team, stock supplies, and deliver friendly, attentive service to guests.

You will learn beverage basics, assist in daily bar operations, and help ensure a clean, organized back bar while upholding the hotel’s culture of gracious hospitality.

Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays is required, and experience in a hotel setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a barback in a hotel restaurant or bar.
• English fluency is required for guest interaction.
• Food Handlers Card and Liquor Card, or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist bar team with stocking, setup and daily operations.
• Provide friendly guest service and ensure timely beverage delivery.
• Learn recipes, ingredients, and maintain knowledge of beverages.
• Keep back bar clean and organized, restock supplies as needed.
• Support barback duties across events and room service as required.
• Collaborate with F&B team to deliver memorable guest experiences.
