Job summary

Sixty Vines in Nashville is seeking a Barback to support bartenders and servers, keeping the bar stocked, clean, and organized, and assisting with wine and keg systems during service. You will help with deliveries, inventory, and daily bar operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring keg levels, maintaining wine storage and bar areas, and ensuring safety and quality in a high-volume setting. This role offers teamwork and opportunities to learn about wine service.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, barback, bartender, or beverage experience preferred.
• Experience with kegged wine, draft beer, or beverage dispensing systems is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of wine and beverage service is preferred.
• Ability to safely lift and move kegs, cases of wine, and other heavy items.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and move quickly in a busy restaurant environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support bartenders by keeping the bar fully stocked, clean, and organized.
• Restock wine, beer, spirits, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other beverage supplies.
• Assist with wine keg and draft wine systems, including monitoring keg levels and replacing kegs.
• Connect, disconnect, and handle kegs and draft lines according to procedures.
• Monitor systems for low kegs, leaks, or pressure issues and report to management.
• Transport and safely store wine kegs, beer kegs, wine bottles, and other beverage products.
• Maintain organized beverage storage areas and walk-ins.
• Assist with receiving and storing beverage deliveries.
• Keep bar wells and equipment clean and sanitary; polish and stock glassware.
• Maintain adequate ice levels and replenish as needed.
• Assist bartenders with opening/closing side work.
• Communicate inventory concerns to bartenders and management.
• Follow all safety and alcohol service procedures; work efficiently during busy periods.
