Method Co. is seeking a Barback for Kampers Rooftop Bar in Detroit, a design-forward rooftop destination atop the Book Tower.

You will support bartenders with prep, restock, cleanliness, and fast service to maintain Kampers energy. This role suits someone with a strong work ethic, team spirit, and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs, with opportunities to learn bar operations and contribute to guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Previous barback or bar experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Restock spirits, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, and garnishes throughout service.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, wipe surfaces, organize stations, and manage trash/recycling.
• Assist bartenders with prep tasks such as cutting garnishes and batching cocktails.
• Monitor bar flow and anticipate needs to keep service fast and efficient.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including inventory counts.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards while preserving Kampers energy.

Overview

The Barback keeps the rooftop bar running smoothly by supporting bartenders with prep, restocking, cleanliness, and speed. This role is essential tomaintainingthe bar’s efficiency, consistency, andsignatureKampersenergy.

Key Responsibilities

• Restock spirits, beer, wine, mixers, ice, glassware, andgarnishesthroughout service.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, including wiping surfaces, organizing stations, and removing trash and recycling.
• Assistbartenders with prep tasks such as cutting garnishes, batching cocktails, and replenishing inventory.
• Monitor bar flow andanticipateneeds to keep service fast and efficient.
• Support opening and closing procedures, including inventory counts and station setup/breakdown.
• Uphold safety and cleanliness standards whilemaintainingthe rooftop’s polished, elevated atmosphere.

Working Conditions/Environment:

• The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight (8) hours per day.
• Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
• The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
