Job summary

The Ranch LC in Katy, TX is seeking a barback to support bar staff and ensure smooth shifts. You will stock wells, keep beverages and garnishes ready, and assist with batch cocktails while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include interacting with guests professionally, preparing the bar area, and ensuring all bar equipment is properly used. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs, with required certifications like TIPs or ServSafe.

Qualifications

• Able to stand for long periods (shift work).
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Able to read and follow recipes for juices and batch cocktails.
• Maintain all necessary certifications (TIPs, ServSafe/State Food).

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and staff professionally and positively.
• Assist bar staff in filling ice wells and stocking liquor bottles.
• Ensure beer bottles, wine and cordials are stocked.
• Refill and date mixers, juices and syrups.
• Cut fruit and garnishes; set up bar for service.
• Operate batch cocktail system and change canisters as needed.
• Arrive on time in proper uniform and ready to work.
• Use juicing machines safely and maintain par levels.
• Follow directions from management and bartenders.
• Know menu well and answer guest questions about food and drinks.
• Obtain and update required certifications.
• Set up and break down the bar area; clean floors, top and wells.
• Empty trash and wash dishes using bar machine.
